Lambakan '13

Lambakan '13: The 6th Cultural and Journalism Gathering of White&Blue is a three-day journalism training and seminar held last March 25-27, 2013, at the SLU Bonifacio (Main) and Maryheights Campus.

Lambakan featured noted speakers from the national and local media.

They are as follows:

DAY 1 :)

News Writing: Robert Jaworski Abano. Chief, Philippine Daily Inquirer Northern Luzon Bureau

Features/Literary Writing: Eros Atalia. Instructor, Creative Writing, University of Santo Tomas, Author of Ligona U, Lapitna Me;Peksman (Mamatay Ka Man) Nagsisinungaling Ako; It's Not That Complicated: Bakit Hindi pa Sasakupin ng mga Alien ang Daigdig sa 2012; Wag Lang Di Makaraos: 100 Dagli (Mga Kwentong Pasaway, Paaway at Pamatay)

Sports Writing: Joselito Delos Reyes. Instructor, University of Santo Tomas

Media Ethics - Radio: Jesse Maguiya. Radio News Anchor, BomboRadyo Baguio, Radio Reporter of the year by Baguio Correspondents and Broadcasters’ Club (BCBC) 2006

Youth Empowerment : Romano Bulatao. Theology Instructor, Saint Louis University, Motivational Speaker in numerous speaking engagements in and out of Luzon

Leadership: Andrew Macalma. Associate Dean for Men, Student Affairs Office

Cartooning: Manix Abrera. Writer and Artist, Kikomachine comic strips

Reading the Kikomachine comic strips is funny, yes. But it was even more hilarious when Sir Manix read  them for us! Plus, we discovered some secrets! :)

DAY 3: LAMBAKAN RACE

It was my first time to attend the Lambakan Race! If you were at Mines View Park last March 27 morning, perhaps you saw us with the delegates a.k.a. racers. It was fun! :)



Teams have to complete the puzzle to finish the race! Good job guys! :)



I may not know each and every participant but I may know them by face. I hope it's the same for them. Haha. It has been a successful and meaningful Lambakan '13. Well, don't let yourself miss the next one! See you soon guys! Lambakan '14 up next! :)
